Fiber Chemistry Shapes Performance
Material chemistry plays a big role in how well a fabric manages moisture, and each fiber type handles sweat a little differently. Take polyester, for example—it doesn’t absorb much water into the fibers themselves, so sweat tends to move along the surface and through the spaces between yarns instead.
